Spider-man is back in his black suit. I always do a spidey when he changes his suit. The black paper sketch book I recently purchased inspired me to do this negative silhouette study. It's harder than it looks. I didn't do any doctoring on this piece once I scanned it in to show the core work. This project could have been done a lot easier with the computer but doing it freehand made me think differently. Drawing just the white and not dealing with shading, just trying to get the silhouette down, made me really focus on the graphic element of the piece. Anyway it was fun, probably do a Vader next.
